China successfully operates its "Artificial Sun"  nuclear fusion reactor for the first time, with state media on Friday making great strides in the country's nuclear power research capabilities.

The HL-2M Tokamak Reactor is China's largest and most advanced nuclear fusion experimental research device, and scientists believe it could unlock a powerful pure energy source.

It uses a powerful magnetic field to bind hot plasma and reaches a temperature almost ten times higher than the core of the sun, according to the People's Daily. Located in Sichuan Province and completed late last year, the reactor is often referred to as the "artificial sun", which generates intense heat and electricity.

The People's Daily said, "Nuclear fusion development is not only a way to address China's strategic energy needs, but is of great importance for China's energy and the future sustainable development of the national economy.

Nuclear fusion

Fusion is considered to be the holy grail of energy and it gives any energy to our sun.

It fuses nuclear nuclei and generates huge amounts of energy - unlike the fission process used in nuclear weapons and nuclear power plants, which splits them into pieces.

Unlike fission, fusion does not emit greenhouse gases and reduces the risk of accidents or theft of nuclear materials.

But the merger is very difficult to achieve and is prohibited, the total cost.5 22.5 billion.

Involvement of international scientists

Chinese scientists have been working since 2006 to develop smaller versions of the nuclear fusion reactor.

International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor - France plans to use the device in collaboration with scientists working on the world's largest nuclear fusion research project, which is expected to be completed by 2025.

Fact : The HL-2M Tokamak is Beijing's largest nuclear fusion experimental research device and is reported to be able to reach temperatures ten times higher than the Sun's core, possibly unlocking a powerful pure energy source.

Please comment and share it takes a lot hardwork for researching this things . With Respect By Rajarshi Karmakar .
